The goal of good auditorium and theater design is to create a seamless audio visual experience between the audience and their subject, whether that be a lecturer, a group of actors or an entire orchestra. The environment should be fine tuned to create an optimum acoustic environment, reducing or eliminating any distractions that may damage the audience to stage relationship. Providing a full experience to each person in this space is a complex relationship between the arts and science.
